Job Summary:
We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Lead Business Analyst to drive AI/ML and data-driven initiatives from concept to delivery. This role combines strong business acumen, technical understanding, and analytical capabilities to manage customer interactions, translate complex business needs into scalable solutions, and ensure smooth project execution. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define requirements, support solution delivery, and ensure alignment between business goals and technological outcomes.

Client Engagement & Project Leadership
We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Lead Business Analyst to drive AI/ML and data-driven initiatives from concept to delivery. This role combines strong business acumen, technical understanding, and analytical capabilities to manage customer interactions, translate complex business needs into scalable solutions, and ensure smooth project execution. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define requirements, support solution delivery, and ensure alignment between business goals and technological outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Engagement & Project Leadership
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing communications, clarifying business needs, and ensuring expectations are aligned.
- Lead and manage AI/ML and data based projects with end-to-end accountability on business analysis deliverables.
- Address and resolve client queries promptly and effectively.
- Elicit, analyze, and finalize business and functional requirements through workshops, stakeholder interviews, and documentation reviews.
- Translate business requirements into detailed user stories, epics, process flows, and functional specifications.
- Clearly communicate requirements to development, design, and data teams.
- Work on data-heavy projects involving data ingestion, transformation, analytics, and reporting.
- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and engineers to ensure data models align with business goals.
- Perform data analysis to validate business problems, identify trends, and inform solution design.
- Ensure data accuracy, lineage, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Understand and map current and future state business workflows.
- Analyze customer requirements and propose AI/ML or automation solutions that improve efficiency and decision-making.
- Collaborate with solution architects and data scientists to shape technically feasible and impactful solutions.
- Validate developed features against business requirements and perform UAT with stakeholders.
- Create and manage release items, documentation, and change logs.
- Provide post-release support, triage issues, and coordinate fixes with tech teams.
- Lead and participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups.
- Prioritize and maintain a healthy product backlog based on business value and delivery timelines.
- Assess change impacts, document scope changes, and manage requirement traceability.
- Apply structured thinking to break down complex business problems and recommend optimal solutions.
- Use critical thinking to assess risks, dependencies, and trade-offs in proposed features or models.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields.
- 6–10 years of experience in business analysis, with proven experience in AI/ML or data-driven projects.
- Familiarity with large language models, machine learning workflows, and data platforms.
- Strong data literacy with the ability to analyze and interpret structured/unstructured data.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in tools like JIRA, Confluence, SQL, Excel, Power BI/Tableau, Lucidchart, etc.
- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum practices and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience with Generative AI tools and prompt engineering concepts.
- Knowledge of data governance, privacy, and regulatory frameworks.
- Certifications in Business Analysis (CBAP, PMI-PBA) will be add-on.
- Experience in industries like legal tech, BFSI, or enterprise SaaS preferred
