About the Role
We are seeking a highly analytical and self-driven Data Analyst specializing in Political Consulting to join our dynamic team. This role will support political campaigns, advocacy groups, and policymakers by transforming complex voter and election-related data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate has a passion for politics, experience with large-scale datasets, and a deep understanding of voter behavior and campaign dynamics.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Preparation: Acquire, clean, and maintain political data sets from various sources including voter files, polling data, social media, and third-party databases.
- Analytical Modeling: Perform statistical and predictive modeling to forecast election outcomes, voter turnout, demographic shifts, and campaign performance.
- Visualization & Reporting: Design and develop interactive dashboards, charts, and reports using data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Excel to support campaign strategy and decision-making.
- Media & Sentiment Analysis: Use natural language processing (NLP) techniques to analyze public sentiment, monitor media narratives, and assess public opinion on key issues.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with political strategists, campaign managers, and communication teams to tailor insights to strategic objectives and policy priorities.
- Presentation of Insights: Communicate findings through clear and concise written reports, presentations, and visual storytelling to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Data Governance: Ensure high levels of data quality and integrity through rigorous testing, validation, and documentation of data workflows.
- Innovation & Experimentation: Stay current on emerging data visualization techniques and tools. Proactively test and implement new approaches to improve reporting and analytics effectiveness.Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Data Science, Statistics, Public Policy, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in
data visualization and report authoring.
- Proven ability to learn and experiment with new data visualization tools, technologies, and strategies.
- Strong technical skills in SQL,
Python, R, or similar analytics languages.unblock team dependencies.
- Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Sisense, Qlik, or Logi Analytics.
- Ability to self-manage multiple priorities and efficiently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to translate complex datasets into clear, actionable narratives.
