We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to lead the definition, management, and evolution of business metadata, including business terms, rules, KPI definitions, and data quality standards. This role will be instrumental in driving enterprise-wide alignment on critical data elements (CDEs), sustaining business glossaries, and enabling data-driven decision-making through robust governance practices.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to lead the definition, management, and evolution of business metadata, including business terms, rules, KPI definitions, and data quality standards. This role will be instrumental in driving enterprise-wide alignment on critical data elements (CDEs), sustaining business glossaries, and enabling data-driven decision-making through robust governance practices.
Key Responsibilities
Business Metadata Management
- Define, document, and maintain business terms, rules, KPI definitions, and data quality standards.
- Ensure consistency and alignment with enterprise data governance frameworks and business objectives.
- Collaborate with data owners and stewards to validate and approve metadata definition
- Lead cross-functional workshops with business stakeholders to
- Author and validate entries in the Business Glossary and CDE catalog.
- Gather and refine business requirements for data quality rules and KPIs.
- Act as a bridge between business and technical teams to ensure shared understanding and traceability of metadata.
- Maintain and update the CDE catalog, KPI definitions, and acceptance criteria.
- Support impact analysis and change management processes related to metadata updates.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Data Management, Information Systems, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in data governance, business rule management, KPI governance
- Strong understanding of data quality principles, metadata management, and KPI frameworks.
- Experience with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation) is a plus.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate business needs into structured data definitions and rules.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements related to data (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and a passion for data integrity.
- Med-Device Data Management Experience preferred
