Job Description

Lead Data Engineer specializing in AWS Glue and Snowflake is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing modern cloud-based data architecture solutions to enable secure, scalable, and high-performing analytics environments

Core Responsibilities

• Design robust data architectures using AWS Glue for data integration and Snowflake for warehousing.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines, leveraging Glue and EMR for data processing and orchestration.
• working experience in Snowflake
• Develop data models, including star and snowflake schema, for BI and analytics.
• Set standards for data governance, security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to collect requirements and ensure architecture supports business objectives.
• Optimize Snowflake performance, including resource allocation, query tuning, and cost management.
• Oversee data quality, auditing, and metadata management.
• Create and maintain architecture documentation, diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Mentor junior team members and promote best practices in data management.
  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Deep proficiency in Snowflake and AWS Glue, with proven experience designing and maintaining cloud-based data warehouses and ETL pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, integration techniques, and analytics workflows.
• Proficiency in SQL and scripting for automation and data engineering tasks.
• Familiarity with cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP), data governance, and security.
• Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
