We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Lead Data Scientist to drive advanced analytics and AI initiatives across the organization. This role will provide technical leadership, mentor data scientists, and partner closely with scientific, operational, and business stakeholders to translate complex data into actionable insights that accelerate drug discovery, development, manufacturing, and enterprise functions.

Key Responsibilities

Technical & Delivery Leadership

• Lead end-to-end advanced analytics and AI programs, from problem definition and data acquisition to model deployment, monitoring, and value realization.
• Architect and review scalable machine learning solutions, ensuring robustness, reproducibility, and alignment with business and scientific objectives.
• Set best practices for model development, validation, deployment, and lifecycle management in regulated scientific environments.
• Guide the design and implementation of predictive, prescriptive, and generative AI models for reaction outcomes, process optimization, quality control, and operational excellence.
  
  

Act as a trusted analytics advisor to scientific, manufacturing, and enterprise leaders.

Translate complex scientific and business challenges into well-defined data science problem statements and roadmaps.

Engage with domain experts, senior stakeholders, and external partners to drive adoption and impact of data science solutions.

Team Leadership & Capability Building

• Provide technical mentorship and code/model reviews for data scientists and analysts.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and capability development of the data science team.
• Foster a strong culture of scientific rigor, innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  
  

• Oversee the use of structured and unstructured data from lab instruments, sensors, digital labs, and enterprise systems (CRM, ERP, MES, etc.).
• Partner with data engineering and IT teams to define and evolve data pipelines, feature stores, dashboards, and MLOps frameworks.
• Drive adoption of cloud-native analytics and AI platforms and reusable analytics assets.
