About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Lead Data Scientist / Senior Lead Data Scientist to drive AI & analytics programs in domains like Retail, Pharma, Banking, and Insurance. The role involves hands-on contribution, team leadership, client engagement, and strategic roadmap planning for data science initiatives.

You will play a crucial role in developing machine learning models, statistical analyses, and AI-driven solutions while managing a team of data scientists. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Python, R, SQL, NoSQL, Spark, and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) with deep expertise in ML algorithms, predictive modeling, and advanced analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

1. AI & Machine Learning Development

✅ Develop, deploy, and optimize machine learning models for predictive analytics, NLP, time-series forecasting, clustering, and deep learning.

✅ Expertise in ML algorithms such as SVM, Random Forest, Neural Networks, Decision Trees, Logistic Regression, K-Means Clustering, Linear Regression, PCA, etc.

✅ Work with structured and unstructured data ecosystems, including text, image, and sensor data.

✅ Proficiency in Python libraries like NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, Scapy, Scrapy, and BERT.

✅ Design and execute statistical hypothesis testing for data-driven decision-making.

2. Data Engineering & Cloud Technologies

✅ Develop scalable data pipelines for large-scale data processing using Spark, Airflow, Kafka, and cloud-based services.

✅ Expertise in SQL, NoSQL, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for big data analytics and model deployment.

✅ Work with data lakes, warehouses, and real-time data processing frameworks.

✅ Implement MLOps and DevOps practices for model deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.

3. Client Engagement & Strategic Planning

✅ Engage with clients to understand complex business problems and translate them into actionable AI-driven solutions.

✅ Develop data science roadmaps and provide thought leadership in analytics strategy.

✅ Work with stakeholders to define business KPIs and align AI initiatives with strategic goals.

✅ Build a trusted advisor relationship with IT leadership and internal business teams.

4. Team Leadership & Project Management

✅ Lead, mentor, and guide a team of data scientists, ensuring high-quality project deliverables.

✅ Allocate workload among team members considering availability, skill sets, and deadlines.

✅ Manage client expectations with weekly status updates and project reviews.

✅ Ensure efficient billing and utilization of team resources throughout the year.

✅ Drive agile project execution with sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and milestone tracking.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

6-8 years (Lead Data Scientist) / 8-12 years (Senior Lead Data Scientist) in applied machine learning, predictive analytics, and AI solutions.

Strong programming expertise in Python, R, SQL, NoSQL, and Spark.

Experience in ML model development and deployment using TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.

Proficiency in cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP) for AI model deployment and big data processing.

Expertise in statistical modeling, A/B testing, and experimental design.

Experience working in Retail, Pharma, Banking, or Insurance industries is a plus.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical thinking skills.

Strong leadership qualities to guide and mentor a data science team.

Preferred Qualifications:

✔ Master’s/PhD from IITs, NITs, BITS Pilani, RVCE, or top-tier institutions.

✔ Certifications in AWS Certified Data Analytics, Azure Data Scientist Associate, or Google Cloud Professional ML Engineer.

✔ Experience with LLMs, Generative AI, and advanced deep learning models.

✔ Hands-on expertise in MLOps, Model Monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines for AI.
