Overview

Job Title: Lead Developer

Location: Pune, India

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of up to 5 professionals, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment, where creativity, technical excellence, and diversity thrive.
• Develop features for our current platform and deliver objectives on time and according to GemOne’s expected quality levels.
• Lead code reviews and enforce best practices to maintain high-quality code and reduce technical debt
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to deployment and operation, identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions.
• Contribute to continuous improvements within the agile software development process.
• Coach, motivate and stimulate development of your team members (through on the job coaching, continuous feedback, follow-up interviews, providing training, ...) in order to grow their competences.
• Estimate & plan all work and provide transparent status reporting & budget management
• Align with other team leads, where you share work in progress, identify dependencies, and share best practices

Requirements:

• Have a first experience as a Team Lead
• Have solid experience with the life cycle used in a software organization and a good understanding of software & release delivery
• Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Have experience with Agile methods
• Document, mentor, and collaborate with clarity and intention
• Stay curious, self-driven, and open to continuous learning
• Have practical experience with Jira
• Fluent in English
• Be open to traveling to Belgium up to 2–3 times per year.
