Your mission, roles and responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly capable Power BI Lead (Hands-On) to lead and scale our Power BI delivery capability while remaining a deep technical subject matter expert. This role combines delivery leadership, stakeholder engagement, and hands-on development. The ideal candidate possesses strong Power BI expertise, a solid understanding of Microsoft Fabric and medallion data architecture, and meaningful Finance and Supply Chain domain experience within a manufacturing environment. The role requires strong IT delivery discipline, Agile/Scrum fluency, and the ability to translate business needs into high-impact analytical solutions. They must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems, and products. The right candidate will be excited by the prospect of solving complex problems, is driven to enable users to succeed, and can build effective stakeholder relationships. Reporting into the IT Service Delivery Manager, the role requires a self-motivated, dedicated, and responsible individual with the ability to perform well under pressure.
What You'll Do:
This role is responsible for both delivery leadership and expert-level Power BI development. The individual must operate as a technical authority while ensuring predictable, high-quality offshore execution.

- Lead offshore Power BI delivery, including estimation, sprint planning, work allocation, and delivery governance.
- Serve as the primary Power BI SME, owning semantic model design, dataset architecture, and DAX logic.
- Design and maintain scalable, high-performance Power BI semantic models aligned with enterprise data standards.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of Microsoft Fabric architecture, including Warehouse, Lakehouse, and Direct Lake patterns.
- Ensure proper separation of concerns between Gold Layer transformations and Power BI semantic logic.
- Partner with Data Engineering teams to shape Gold Layer assets for optimal analytical consumption.
- Prevent business logic duplication, inefficient transformations, and reporting anti-patterns.
- Translate ambiguous business requirements into structured analytical and reporting solutions.
- Drive development standards, naming conventions, performance optimization, and reusability patterns.
- Perform dataset optimization, performance tuning, and root cause analysis for reporting issues.
- Provide majority hands-on contribution across modeling, report development, and solution design.
- Engage Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations stakeholders to define KPIs and reporting frameworks.
- Support backlog refinement, story definition, and participation in Scrum ceremonies.
- Mentor and guide offshore developers to scale capability, quality, and consistency.
- Lead the establishment of an enterprise PBI Center of Excellence
- Create and maintain new dashboards and data models based on defined business requirements.
- Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional reporting requirements.
- Comfortable working in a target-driven and fast-changing environment, and able to respond to changing business needs.
- Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Is highly focused on adhering to standardized design and marketing brand guidelines.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of experience in BI, analytics, or reporting roles.
- Advanced Power BI expertise, including data modeling, DAX, and performance optimization.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Fabric and modern data platform concepts.
- Experience working with medallion architectures and enterprise semantic layer strategies.
- Strong IT delivery experience within structured enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated experience operating within Agile / Scrum delivery models.
- Strong SQL and data shaping capabilities.
- Experience supporting Finance and Supply Chain analytics within manufacturing environments preferred.
- Ability to balance delivery responsibilities with deep hands-on technical contribution.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and agile planning tools such as Azure DevOps.
Licensing or Certifications:
- Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Professional Certificate
- Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (preferred but not mandatory).
- Relevant Microsoft Data / Analytics / Azure certifications are a plus.
- From Excel to Power BI (preferred but not mandatory).
- Data Modeling in Power BI (preferred but not mandatory).
- Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals (preferred but not mandatory).
