What we are looking for:

We are seeking a seasoned Endur Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead impact analysis, development and testing for Endur instances within the ETRM Platforms and Operations team. This role combines deep technical and functional expertise in OpenLink Endur as well as strategic leadership to mentor and train junior team members. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Endur upgrades, strong analytical skills, proficiency in modern DevOps practices, and a thorough understanding of the trade lifecycle and related systems.

Key Responsibilities include:

  1. Endur SME Leadership:
  • Act as the primary subject matter expert for OpenLink Endur, leading analysis, design, development, configuration, and deployment.
  • Actively contributes to strategic initiatives, including Endur version upgrades, integration enhancements, and key functionality improvements.
  • Oversee and guide Development & Testing teams, ensuring thorough validation of core and custom functionalities, including End of Day (EOD), APM, Back Office, Trading, Risk, and Regulatory processes.
  1. Impact Analysis & Upgrade Management:
  • Conduct detailed impact analysis of Endur upgrades, reviewing new functionalities, identifying regression risks, and designing strategic test plans.
  • Assess the potential impact of system changes on existing processes and incorporate findings into testing and implementation strategies.
  • Lead framework migrations (e.g., External Libraries, GitHub) to enhance system security and maintainability.
  1. Testing & Quality Assurance:
  • Define and implement QA strategies for functional and integration testing, improving test coverage and automation efficiency.
  • Develop and execute testing strategies for Endur upgrades, leveraging automated testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Git).
  • Ensure comprehensive testing of core Endur processes, including EOD, APM, Back Office, Trading, Risk, and Regulatory functions, with a focus on Power, Gas, and Emissions markets.
  • Develop relevant test strategies based on new functionalities and updates in newer Endur versions.
  1. Functional & Domain Expertise:
  • Leverage in-depth knowledge of the full trade lifecycle across Front Office (FO), Middle Office (MO), and Back Office (BO), with hands-on experience in operational managers like Service, Reference, and Trading Managers.
  • Verify and enhance system functionalities, complex interfaces and services related to Power, Gas & Emissions, including UDSRs, TPM workflows, EOD feeds, and advanced reporting (e.g., Power BI, Report Manager). using JVS, Open Components,Kafka-based integrations, and REST APIs.
  1. Mentorship & Collaboration:
  • Mentor & train junior team members in best practices for development, QA, and system configuration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, traders, developers, and operations, to align technical solutions with business objectives.
  • Provide clear and concise communication of test results, issues, risks, and solutions to stakeholders, facilitating discussions to resolve technical challenges involving multiple business or technical stakeholders.

Core Qualifications:

  • Self-driven, team-oriented mindset with a CAN-DO attitude with a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computing, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • At least 8+ years of experience in OpenLink Endur, with a total of 13+ years in software development.
  • Deep functional and technical knowledge of OpenLink Endur, including core processes (EOD, APM, Back Office, Trading, Risk, Regulatory) and tools (JVS, Open Components, Java, SQL).
  • Strong expertise in Gas, Power, Emissions, and PPA trading trade lifecycle processes, with proven experience in commodities such as Natural Gas, Power, Crude Oil, Refined Products, and Emissions.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to manage complex dependencies in a structured and systematic way, coupled with problem-solving skills to identify gaps and develop comprehensive solutions.
  • Ability to perform impact analysis of new Endur functionalities and effectively incorporate them into testing strategies, taking ownership of the quality control.
  • Sound understanding of processes, data flows, and systems involved in Global Commodities ETRM and reporting, with thorough knowledge of the trade lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in modern DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, Git, SVN), integration strategies (Kafka, REST APIs), and cloud technologies (Azure/AWS).
  • Capability for efficient stakeholder communication, with the ability to facilitate team discussions with different IT & business teams to solve technical challenges.

Desirable:

  • Experience with Endur upgrade projects and framework migrations.
  • Exposure to regulatory reporting, PnL analytics, and internal trade novation.
  • Certification or training in Azure, AWS, AI, or ML technologies.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools related to Endur.
  • Proven experience in QA practices, including the development of test strategies, test plans, and execution of test cases, with a focus on improving test coverage and efficiency.
