Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled Technical Business Analyst with a strong background in software development and experience in complex enterprise applications. This role involves working closely with testers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure effective integration, screen design, and system functionality. Ideal candidates will bring a mix of business analysis, technical insight, and domain expertise in the UK Pensions industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with testers, developers, and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
- Work with development teams to align implementation with business goals.
- Analyze complex systems involving over 100 screens, databases, and integrated applications.
- Create detailed functional and technical specifications.
- Contribute to screen design and user interface planning.
- Define testing scenarios and acceptance criteria in coordination with QA teams.
- Support system integration and data migration processes.
- Maintain awareness of evolving technologies and best practices.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders.
- 8+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst or similar role.
- Strong background in software development.
- Experience with complex enterprise systems and multi-system integration.
- Proficient in database concepts and SQL.
- Hands-on experience working with:
- Screen/UI design
- Functional and technical specification creation
- Strong understanding of system workflows, data processing, and logic-heavy calculations.
- Familiarity with Agile or Waterfall delivery models.
- Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to learn new tools and techniques.
- UK Pensions domain experience (highly desirable).
- Experience in financial services or pensions-related systems.
- Familiarity with modern integration patterns (e.g., REST APIs, Web Services).
- Exposure to Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
- Professional certifications such as CBAP, BCS, or equivalent in Business Analysis.
- Understanding of user experience (UX) best practices and tools.
- Work on high-impact, complex enterprise systems.
- Engage with cutting-edge technologies and methodologies.
- Collaborate in a dynamic, innovative environment.
