Overview

AjnaLens is looking for a Lead iOS Developer to join our Engineering team at Thane.
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of hands-on experience in Swift, along with deep expertise in BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy), hardware integration, and real-time audio processing.
In this leadership role, you will drive the end-to-end development and optimization of our iOS applications, mentor junior engineers, and play a key part in pushing the boundaries of what our wearable technology can achieve—especially at the intersection of mobile and embedded systems.

Top 3 Daily Tasks::

• Architect, build, and maintain production-grade iOS applications that interface with custom hardware via BLE and audio protocols.
• Lead integration efforts with embedded systems, sensors, and audio modules for real-time, low-latency applications.
• Mentor iOS team members, perform code reviews, and collaborate with Product, Firmware, and Design teams to ensure timely, scalable releases.

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in iOS development, with a proven focus on BLE communication, hardware integrations, and audio signal handling.

• Expert-level proficiency in Swift, with strong fundamentals in Objective-C, SwiftUI, and UIKit.
• Advanced experience in BLE – including custom service/characteristic design, debugging, and power optimization.
• Solid background in audio technologies (e.g., AVFoundation, Core Audio, real-time audio streaming, DSP integration).
• Strong integration skills with custom hardware and embedded devices, including firmware-level communication.
• Track record of building high-performance, battery-optimized apps, with excellent debugging, profiling, and performance-tuning abilities.

• Deep understanding of iOS system architecture, memory management, and multi-threading.
• Familiar with backend interaction models (REST/GraphQL), data persistence (CoreData, Realm), and cloud sync patterns.
• Comfort working with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Bitrise), version control (Git), and agile development workflows.

• Experience in WebRTC, audio streaming codecs, or spatial audio.
• Exposure to ARKit, Metal, or low-level graphics/audio rendering APIs.
• Past experience working with wearables, IoT devices, or health-tech applications.
• Contributions to open-source iOS frameworks or a strong public GitHub/portfolio.

• Seamless iOS apps that integrate tightly with custom wearable hardware and sensor-based systems.
• BLE and audio features that enable real-time interaction, immersive user feedback, and contextual responsiveness.
