Overview
Role Summary
As a Network Engineer specializing in networking technologies, you will be a critical member of a cross-functional team responsible for building, operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting our production and corporate systems. Your mission is to ensure uptime, reliability, and performance while continuously enhancing network design and operations through automation and modern best practices.
You’ll collaborate closely with teams such as Development, SRE, DevOps, QA, and Product Management, supporting both production systems and internal stakeholders. Your role will also include addressing escalations from customer service teams and contributing to an overall high-quality end-user experience.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the uptime and reliable performance of critical production systems hosted in the cloud.
- Leverage automation and emerging technologies to improve operational efficiency and consistency.
- Respond to and resolve high-severity (Sev1/Sev2) incidents and defects in collaboration with engineering teams.
- Maintain and enforce security, backup, and redundancy best practices.
- Provide architectural and engineering input for improving application and infrastructure solutions.
- Monitor and analyze application/network performance to detect and resolve bottlenecks.
- Stay current with industry trends and continuously enhance your networking skills.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in Networking with deep knowledge of routing, switching, and Wi-Fi technologies.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise environments in 24x7 high-availability settings.
- Proven expertise in configuring and troubleshooting Palo Alto and Fortinet Firewalls.
- Strong experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, SolarWinds).
- Proficient in routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF.
- Solid troubleshooting skills under pressure.
- Experience with both Windows and Linux environments.
- Deep understanding of network fundamentals (OSI model, TCP/IP, load balancing, firewall rule management).
- Scripting and automation experience with PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar languages.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CCNP certification.
- AWS Certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, Advanced Networking) are highly desirable.
