Lead QA Engineer

Overview

Job Title: QA Engineer – BFSI Domain

Shift Timings: 2 PM to 11 PM ( cab service provided)
Work location : Bommanahalli – 5 days work from office. ( no hybrid or WFH)
Start Date : Immediate

Summary:

As a QA engineer, the candidate will be responsible for executing the QA process for some of the projects of our client. They will be working closely with cross-functional teams to understand the requirements, participate in test execution, and adhere to best practices in quality assurance. Expertise in the BFSI domain will be crucial in identifying risks and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Aware of the Agile QA process.

- Develop and implement comprehensive test case and plans

- Collaborate with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure quality is embedded in the development process.

- Design, develop and maintain Test plan, Test cases, Defect reports

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for various applications, focusing on functional, regression, and performance testing (Cypress, Selenium and Appium)

- Participate in risk assessments and identify areas for improvement in testing processes and methodologies.

- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards

- Responsible for the tracking and reporting of defects, ensuring timely resolution and communication with relevant teams.

- Analyze testing results and provide actionable insights to project team to drive product improvements.

- Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in testing tools and methodologies.

Qualifications:

- 6+ years of experience in software quality assurance

- Strong experience in the BFSI domain, with a solid understanding of financial products and services.

- Proficiency in test automation tools (Must have - Cypress, Selenium, Apache JMeter) and test management tools (e.g., JIRA).

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred:

- Certifications in quality assurance (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) or relevant BFSI certifications.

- Experience with performance testing and security testing in BFSI applications.

- Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) for test automation.
