Key Deliverables (Duties and Responsibilities)
- Release Coordination & Support:
- Lead planning and scheduling software and data platform releases, including Snowflake database changes.
- Collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, and Data Engineering teams to track release readiness and dependencies.
- Maintain release calendars, documentation, and reports to provide visibility into release cycles.
- Support deployment activities for applications, data pipelines, and Snowflake-related updates, ensuring adherence to release guidelines and rollback procedures.
- Help identify potential release risks and work with stakeholders to mitigate them.
- Monitor release performance and escalate issues as needed.
- Tracking and measuring key metrics to assess the effectiveness of release processes.
- Work with global technology teams across different time zones (primarily US) to deliver timely business value.
- Process Improvement & Compliance:
- Proactively refining release management processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Ensure compliance with change management policies and best practices for software and data platforms.
- Contribute to automation and process optimization initiatives in CI/CD pipelines, including Snowflake-based data workflows.
- Refining and enhancing existing frameworks and automating processes wherever possible.
- Communication & Documentation:
- Maintain release notes, post-release reports, and issue tracking logs.
- Conduct release meetings and share status updates with cross-functional teams.

- Experience in release management, DevOps, IT operations, and Data Engineering
- Good knowledge of Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment tools
- Technical expertise with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket) and build automation tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
- Experience with data integration tools and Snowflake automation (dbt, Ansible,Terraform, or Snowflake Snowpark).
- Manage GitLab Merge Requests (MRs), ensuring proper approvals, quality checks, and adherence to branching strategies.
- Experience with JIRA, ServiceNow, or other release tracking tools.
- Basic knowledge of Snowflake architecture, schema management, and SQL.
- Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and basic scripting (Python, Bash).
- Knowledge of ITIL processes
- Experience working in Financial Industry is a plus.
