- Own and drive the end-to-end release lifecycle for digital products and platforms.
- Maintain a centralized digital release calendar in collaboration with development, QA, and product teams.
- Lead early release planning, identifying dependencies, assessing risks, and aligning on timelines and deliverables.
- Facilitate coordination across teams for all types of releases — from hotfixes to large feature deployments.
- Ensure security compliance, QA signoff, and readiness prior to production deployment.
- Drive CAB (Change Advisory Board) discussions for key release decisions and stakeholder alignment.
- Design, implement, and maintain standardized release artifacts including deployment plans, release notes and issue trackers.
- Manage and communicate runbooks, timelines, release notes, and execution plans.
- Coordinate post-release support and facilitate RCA (Root Cause Analysis) for any issues.
- Ensure traceability, audit readiness, and adherence to SVB/FCB’s SDLC and release governance standards.
- Improve and scale release management processes through automation, standardization, and feedback loops.
Functional Skills
- 8-11 years of release management, program management, or DevOps experience, preferably in digital banking or consumer-facing products.
- Deep understanding of modern SDLC practices, CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies.
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi-team releases in fast-paced environments.
- Strong organizational and cross-functional communication skills.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Gitlab, Confluence, or equivalent.
- Experience in issue management, incident tracking, and root cause analysis.
- Comfortable working with product managers, engineers, QA leads, and technical leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multi-functional work teams toward completion
- Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills a must
- Experience with Microservices, Cloud and knowledge of Agile Methodologies
- Passion to learn and grow
- Background in banking technology environments.
- ITIL, Agile, or release-specific certifications.
- Familiarity with devops toolset – including but not limited to gitlab pipelines, Kubernetes, helm based deployments.
- Perform Deployment, Produce Run Books and Technical Implementation Plans
- Measure and monitor progress to ensure releases are delivered on time
- Coordinate release content and effort between Dev and QA teams and coordinate work between different teams at different locations
- Participate in Release Meetings
- Plan and manage all agreed release activities and the release calendar including infrastructure, environments, and data center activities
- Work with development and QA team to understand impacts deployments
- Participate in the co-ordination of Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment
- Plans and checklists Maintains release repositories and manages key information such as release procedures, dependencies, feature flags and flag status; and notification lists
- Manage production issue triage process to ensure speedy resolution of issues / bugs
- Perform post mortem reviews to identify root causes of release issues and to continuously improve the process
- Experience coordinating mobile app, and web-based product releases.
