Lead Software Engineer (Data Platform)

Position Summary:

Avathon's Industrial AI Suite is the world's leading AI enabled SaaS platform that provides asset performance management and prescriptive analytics software to core industrial and manufacturing domains by combining the power of machine learning, big data, and deep domain expertise. Our platform works across multiple asset types such as used in aviation, Energy, wind, solar, storage and DC coupled assets to offer insights to our customers across their fleets. As a Lead Engineer you will be working closely with team members across domains with deep technical skills.

You will :

• Lead a team of engineers, providing direction, coaching, and support to ensure high-quality technical execution for building a highly scalable Omni Data Platform
• Highly proficient in working with large data sets and computational Knowledge Graph Systems
• This involves working with graph data structures, algorithms, database technologies to build systems that can store, retrieve, and reason over complex relationships between data.
• Preferably an expertise in areas like API design, data modeling, and cloud technologies to create robust and scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Data Science, and DevOps to ensure seamless integration of engineering efforts.
• Drive architectural decisions and technical initiatives, ensuring best practices are followed across the entire engineering organization.
• Conduct regular code reviews, ensuring high-quality standards and fostering a culture of continuous technical improvement.
• Mentor and develop engineers, providing guidance on career progression and professional growth.

You'll have:

• Graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or another quantitative field.
• Experience with Computational Knowledge Graph, Designing and implementing knowledge graph systems, Developing and optimizing graph algorithms
• Over all 7+ years of experience in Software Engineering , with atleast 2-3 years leading a technical product team
• Proficiency in Python, Java, Scala, or C++ is often required
• Experience with AWS or GCP cloud services
• Proven experience in guiding engineering team, managing successful software projects from concept to delivery.
