This position centers on creating tangible impact through functional software. You will leverage AI tools and cloud-native platforms to develop full-stack systems addressing meaningful challenges—not just completing tasks. You are expected to deliver rapidly while maintaining quality, selecting the simplest effective solution that harmonizes immediate velocity with sustained maintainability.

What You Will Be Doing

• Design and Deploy Full-Stack Features: Shepherd user stories from conception to delivery; refine requirements, architect scalable systems, implement backend and frontend code, conduct comprehensive testing, and release to production
• Identify and Resolve Bugs: Trace issues to their root causes, address underlying problems rather than superficial symptoms, and prevent regressions through strategic testing
• Elevate Code Standards: Assess plans and pull requests for clarity, simplicity, and accuracy, preventing technical debt from accumulating
  
  

• Crafting pixel-perfect interfaces or intricate backends without purpose
• Executing specifications mechanically without grasping the underlying challenge
• Spending excessive time in meetings debating roadmaps and priorities or coordinating with others
• Merely delivering features; you will own the resolution of genuine problems
  
  

• Applying AI to create software that addresses authentic user needs, deploys quickly, and remains maintainable over time
  
  

• At least 4 years of experience writing production code for web applications' frontend and backend (any framework).
• Strong ownership: Demonstrated experience owning complete modules, product features, or teams, not just contributing siloed tasks
• Independent execution: The ability to unblock yourself, set your own pace, and find paths forward in ambiguous situations
• Experience in using generative A.I. in your day-to-day development work

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
