We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join our Technology team at Clarivate. The successful candidate will be working on solutions that will optimize the impact of the Architecture Center of Excellence (COE) by facilitating the flow of knowledge via the use of technology.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.

• At least 5 years of Programming Experience with Excellent knowledge of SQL, Python programming language.

• Mentor a team of Software Engineers, providing technical guidance and support.

• Experience with ETL processes and API’s.

• Posses domain knowledge of data practices for Intellectual Property applications.

• Proven experience as a Software Engineer or Data Engineer with a focus on data.

• Implement data validation and cleansing processes to ensure data integrity.

• Experience with pattern matching and regular expressions.

• Outstanding knowledge of JSON and other textual formats. Structured and unstructured data.

• Experience in system analysis and design, support and troubleshooting.

It would be great if you also had...

• Experience with cloud-based data storage and processing solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.

What will you be doing in this role?

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in accordance with coding standards.

• Automate knowledge flow mainly in the context of the Architecture practice. This includes, but is not limited to working closely with Architecture team to design and develop mapping rules to extract data from different file formats (structured and unstructured).

• Analysis of textual and binary patent data and use regular expressions to determine patterns for data validation and extraction.

• Develops and maintains understanding of software development lifecycle and delivery methodology.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, devops, system administrators, and business stakeholders, to understand their data requirements and provide technical support.

• Automate tests and unit tests all assigned jobs.

About the Team

You will be working in the context of the Architecture Center of Excellence team wherein your focus would be to process and deliver tools that increase the effectiveness of this practice and forum.

You will also be supporting and providing training for a variety of patent data validation and verification tasks.

Hours of work

This is a permanent position with Clarivate.9 hours per day including lunch break. We have hybrid work model, flexible and employee friendly work environment.
