Lead / Sr. DevOps Engineer

This is a full-time opportunity with our client, a Global Capability Center (GCC) of a leading payments technology organization. The company develops secure, scalable, and innovative payment solutions that enable seamless digital transactions for businesses and consumers across global markets.

Role Overview

As a DevOps Engineer, you will collaborate closely with product development teams to enable the successful deployment and operation of services on GCP. You will play a critical role in preparing applications for production by supporting cloud adoption, CI/CD implementation, observability, and operational readiness, ensuring services are deployed efficiently and run reliably at scale.

You Will

• Collaborate closely with product teams to enable reliable and consistent deployments across environments, including application and infrastructure releases.
• Design, enhance, and maintain CI/CD pipelines following GitOps best practices and organizational standards.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions to provision and deploy cloud resources using reusable platform components.
• Support production applications by responding to incidents, troubleshooting issues, and partnering with development and reliability teams to drive resolution.
• Improve developer productivity and operational efficiency through automation and self-service capabilities.
• Continuously identify and implement improvements in reliability, scalability, automation, and cost optimization.
• Work with architecture and platform teams to ensure solutions align with cloud adoption, security, and operational readiness standards.

You Have

• Strong ownership mindset with the ability to work closely and effectively with cross-functional product teams.
• Hands-on experience managing and supporting applications in GCP production environments.
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes/GKE for deploying, managing, and troubleshooting production workloads.
• Practical experience with Docker and containerization best practices, including build and release processes.
• Experience building, maintaining, and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for cloud infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Good understanding of NGINX, Helm, and cloud networking concepts including VPCs, firewall rules, ingress, and egress traffic management.
