As a key member of our Networking team, you will collaborate with a group of highly experienced engineers dedicated to ensuring the quality and reliability of NetScaler's advanced networking features. You will be instrumental in building robust, scalable automation frameworks and tests that validate the performance, functionality, and stability of our cutting-edge network solutions.

In your role as a Lead Automation Test Engineer, you will design, develop, and execute automated test strategies for products deployed by some of the leading Enterprises in the world.
What You'll Do:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of comprehensive test automation, automation frameworks and strategies using Python for NetScaler's networking features.
- Develop test strategies and detailed test plans for complex networking features.
- Design and implement switched VLAN/WAN network topologies for testing environments.
- Develop, implement test cases, and automate them, including test cases based on RFCs and real-world scenarios.
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites for various networking protocols and functionalities, including (desirable):
- Layer 2: Bridging & Switching, LACP (Link Aggregation Control Protocol), RSTP/MSTP (Rapid/Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol), VXLAN
- Layer 3: IPv6, NAT (Network Address Translation), OSPF (Open Shortest Path First), BGP (Border Gateway Protocol), Multicasting, Policy-Based Routing (PBR), BFD (Bidirectional Forwarding Detection),
- Access Control Lists (ACLs)
- DNS (Domain Name System)
- High Availability
- Admin Partitions, Routing Domains, VRF (Virtual Routing and Forwarding),
- Work on Public Cloud
- Note: Above feature set is desirable and not a must.
- Collaborate closely with development engineers and product management to understand feature requirements and translate them into effective test plans and cases.
- Perform root cause analysis to determine valid bugs and proactively identify potential issues.
- Submit clear and concise bug reports.
- Perform bug fix verification.
- Communicate test results effectively to other engineers and cross-functional teams.
- Drive continuous improvement in test automation coverage, efficiency, and reliability within CI/CD pipelines.
- Mentor junior automation engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering best practices in test automation.
- Contribute to the overall quality strategy, process improvements, and tool selection for the team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BE/B.Tech/MCA/M.Tech/M.S in Computer Science with 8 to 13 years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on test automation in the networking domain.
- Proficiency in test automation tool - Perl/Python is a MUST, with expert-level skills in Python for test automation development.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, TCP/IP, and various L2, L3, and L4 networking technologies.
- Proven experience in designing and building scalable, robust automation frameworks and Test Automation Harness.
- Good knowledge on different network Test Tools.
- Experience with testing networking devices and protocols.
- Ability to debug complex issues in networking environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with performance and scalability testing of networking products.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization, multi-core environments, and clustering from a testing perspective.
- Familiarity with software development in C or C++ for understanding product internals is an added plus.
- Well-versed with software development and QA tools such as GIT, Perforce, Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
- Experience integrating automation tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment, taking ownership and contributing effectively to team and company goals.
- A highly energetic, self-motivated individual with a strong sense of ownership and a commitment to delivering high-quality software on time.
