Linux System Administrator (SAP Environment)

Location: Manyata Tech Park

Shift: 6 PM - 3 AM IST

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Linux System Administrator to manage and maintain our SAP environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux system administration and SAP systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems on Linux servers, including upgrades and patches.
• Monitor and manage the performance of SAP systems to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
• Administer and support the SAP technical environment, including the database, operating system, and SAP applications.
• Perform regular system health checks and troubleshooting to identify, analyse, and resolve system issues.
• Ensure the security of SAP systems and data by implementing appropriate security measures.
• Collaborate with SAP users and stakeholders to understand their needs and provide technical support.
• Prepare and maintain system documentation, including technical specifications and procedures.
• Conduct regular system backup and recovery procedures to ensure data safety and integrity.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies and recommend improvements for the SAP system.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Linux System Administrator, preferably in an SAP environment.
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g., RHEL, SUSE) and SAP systems.
• Experience with database management systems (e.g., HANA, Oracle).
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP certification (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Associate).
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware).
Knowledge of network protocols and security best practices.
