Salary : 30K to 40K Per Month

Experience: 3+ years in Linux server administration and virtualization.

Qualification : Diploma / Bachelor's (IT/Computer Science)

Job Description:

The Linux and Virtualization Server Administrator in the Network Operations Centre (NOC) is responsible for maintaining, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing Linux ,windows servers and virtualized environments.

The role involves ensuring high availability, security, and performance of critical systems while responding to incidents and proactively preventing issues.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Server Administration & Virtualization:

• Install, configure, and manage Linux servers (CentOS, RHEL, Ubuntu, Debian, windows etc.).
• Deploy, maintain, and optimize virtualization platforms such as KVM, VMware, Proxmox, Xen, or OpenStack.
• Manage virtual machines (VMs), hypervisors, and cloud-based virtual instances.
• Implement and monitor high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.

Monitoring & Incident Management:

• Tools to monitor system health and performance.
• Proactively identify and troubleshoot system issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Respond to alerts and incidents following ITIL best practices.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and document resolutions for recurring issues.

Security & Compliance:

• Implement security hardening, patch management, and compliance measures.
• Configure firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS).
• Manage user access control, SSH hardening, and privilege escalation policies.

Automation & Scripting:

• Automate server tasks using Bash, Python, Ansible, Terraform, or PowerShell.
• Deploy Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for efficient provisioning and configuration management.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and configuration updates.

Backup, Storage & Disaster Recovery:

• Implement and manage RAID, LVM, SAN, NAS, and cloud storage solutions.
• Configure and test backup solutions
• Develop disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity plans (BCP).

Networking & Troubleshooting:

• Configure and maintain networking services (DNS, DHCP, NTP, VPN, Load Balancers).
• Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues related to servers and virtual environments.

Work with TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and firewall rules.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
