Asbu AI is building the future of BNPL (Buy Now, Pay Later) debt management, and we’re looking for a highly skilled Flutter Software Engineer to build our mobile app MVP.

We're looking for a highly skilled Flutter Mobile App Developer to build our MVP mobile app. This role requires strong experience in Flutter, Firebase, and BNPL API integrations, with a focus on speed, efficiency, and security. We expect to have the MVP completed and ready for launch by JUNE 2025.

This is a contract-based, remote role with potential for long-term collaboration depending on region, business needs, and other factors. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working under a fast-paced, lean startup model with a high degree of autonomy. You may be required to sign a strict NDA to continue employment with Asbu AI. Non-compliance, a security breach, or the unauthorized sharing of confidential data results in immediate contract termination, docking of pay, a lifetime employment ban at Asbu AI and its subsidiaries/partners, and may also result in legal action under the U.S. Defend Trade Secrets Act (18 U.S. Code § 1836) and Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (18 U.S. Code § 1030), irrespective of region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop the Asbu AI mobile app using Flutter (iOS & Android).
• Work closely with your assigned team(s) to integrate custom solutions for BNPL debt tracking (Affirm, Klarna, AfterPay, etc.).
• Build a secure, intuitive user dashboard for managing BNPL payments.
• Implement Firebase authentication, push notifications, and backend syncing.
• Ensure smooth UX with high-performance mobile interactions.
• Work closely with the team to integrate Medina AI-powered debt insights.

You Have:

• 2+ years of Flutter development experience utilizing the BLoC architecture.
• Experience integrating financial APIs (e.g., Plaid, financial data tools, etc.).
• Proficiency in Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Push Notifications).
• Strong understanding of mobile app security and performance optimization.
• Past experience in fintech, lending, or payment-related apps; preferred but not required.
• Ability to work through complex problems on the spot and document solutions to mitigate future issues.
• A portfolio demonstrating past applications built and launched; NECESSARY. We're looking for experience with the full MVP life cycle, not past apps launched with millions of users. Even if you only have 10 downloads and 1 review, submit.
• Ability to write clean, easily maintainable and readable code to minimize technical debt; NECESSARY.
