Second level professional applications development position.Significant experience in the field, and works independently of their products and projects.

Liaises with client to understand system requirements and existing business process.
Typically codes, tests, debugs and implements software applications.

Knowledge acquired from several years of experience or specialist training in particular area.
Works independently, applies standards yet adapts precedent and may make departures from established processes to resolve problems.
Responsible for the development of applications (development may be in software, desktop technology, web technology, messaging, mainframe, etc.).
