Overview
Role SummaryWe are seeking a Business Analyst to act as a key liaison between UK business stakeholders and internal development/technical teams. The role involves gathering, analyzing, and translating business requirements into clear functional specifications and user stories, ensuring alignment between business objectives and delivered solutions. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in an Agile environment and communicating effectively with international stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a primary interface between UK business stakeholders and technical teams
- Facilitate requirement-gathering workshops and discussions with UK Product Owners
- Understand business processes, objectives, and challenges to propose effective solutions
- Prepare and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRD), functional specifications, and user stories
- Support Product Owners in defining product roadmaps and backlog prioritization
- Assist in creating wireframes and mockups to visually represent requirements
- Collaborate closely with development, QA, UX, and other cross-functional teams
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Perform gap analysis and impact assessments for new requirements and enhancements
- Ensure business requirements are clearly understood and correctly implemented by technical teams
- Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities with stakeholders
- Track and communicate project status, risks, issues, and dependencies in a timely and clear manner
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst
- Experience working with international stakeholders, preferably UK clients
- Strong understanding of Agile / Scrum methodologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to translate business needs into functional and technical requirements
- Experience in creating user stories, process flows, and functional documentation
- Proficiency with Azure DevOps Boards and/or JIRA
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Exposure to HR and Payroll Processing systems
- Experience creating wireframes or mockups using standard BA tools
- Familiarity with product roadmap planning and backlog grooming
- Understanding of UAT planning and execution processes
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-focused mindset
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Comfortable working across time zones and cultures
- Strong documentation and presentation skills
