Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Network Engineer to join our IT infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our company's network infrastructure. You will ensure the optimal performance, security, and scalability of our network systems, as well as troubleshoot network issues and provide technical support to ensure smooth operations across our organization.

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Network Engineer to join our IT infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our company's network infrastructure. You will ensure the optimal performance, security, and scalability of our network systems, as well as troubleshoot network issues and provide technical support to ensure smooth operations across our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Network Design & Implementation : Design, configure, and implement networking solutions, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks, tailored to meet the needs of the business.
- Network Monitoring & Troubleshooting : Monitor the networks performance and identify issues related to connectivity, latency, and downtime. Utilize network management tools to proactively detect and resolve network issues.
- Security Management : Configure and manage firewalls, routers, switches, and other security appliances to ensure the network is secure from external and internal threats. Implement best practices for network security, including VPNs, encryption, and access control.
- Capacity Planning & Optimization : Conduct network capacity planning and make recommendations for scalability and performance improvement based on business growth. Optimize network performance by analyzing network traffic and troubleshooting bottlenecks.
- Documentation & Reporting : Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of the network infrastructure, including diagrams, configurations, and changes. Provide regular status reports and network performance metrics to management.
- Collaboration : Work with cross-functional teams, including system administrators, security teams, and software engineers, to ensure network infrastructure is aligned with organizational needs.
- Technical Support : Provide advanced technical support to resolve network-related issues. Respond to tickets, perform troubleshooting, and escalate issues as necessary.
Technical Skills :
- Proficient in networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, NAT, OSPF, BGP, STP, and VLAN.
- Strong hands-on experience with network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and access points.
- Expertise with network monitoring tools like Wireshark, SolarWinds, PRTG, or similar.
- Proficiency with network operating systems and platforms, including Cisco IOS, Juniper Junos, and Linux networking tools.
- Experience with network automation and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Python, Terraform) is a plus.
- Solid understanding of network security concepts, including firewall management, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network encryption.
- Experience with security protocols such as IPsec, SSL/TLS, and 802.1X.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
- Excellent communication skills to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to system monitoring and performance optimization
