Network Engineer

Overview

The Network Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, management, and troubleshooting of the campus-wide network infrastructure. This role ensures high availability, performance, and security of all network systems to support the academic and administrative functions of the college. Key Responsibilities: Design, configure, and manage LAN, WAN, VLANs, and wireless networks across the campus. Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, access points, and other network hardware. Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability. Troubleshoot network issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions promptly. Maintain and update network documentation, diagrams, and inventories. Ensure network security through proper configuration, monitoring, and timely patching. Manage bandwidth and optimize internet and intranet usage. Provide network access and support for classrooms, labs, faculty, students, and events. Coordinate with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and vendors for service delivery and maintenance. Support VoIP systems, surveillance systems, and biometric attendance systems. Assist in implementing disaster recovery and backup plans related to network systems. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, IT, or a related field. (Diploma with relevant experience may also be considered.) 2+ years of hands-on experience as a network engineer or in a similar role. Certifications like CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable. Solid understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.). Experience with Cisco/HP/D-Link or similar network equipment. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month

• Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
