Job Description

The Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the company's networking systems to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of our network infrastructure. The individual will work closely with the IT team to ensure that the network supports the needs of the business and meets the security and reliability requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage the company's network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
• Monitor and maintain network performance, troubleshoot network issues, and optimize network traffic.
• Ensure network security and data protection by implementing and maintaining firewalls, VPNs, and network access controls.
• Manage and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and inventory.
• Collaborate with the IT team to support the deployment, maintenance, and upgrade of network applications and services.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network-related issues.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest networking technologies and best practices.
  
  

Skills And Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in network engineering and administration.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
• Experience with network security, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and threat analysis.
• Hands-on experience with networking hardware and software, such as Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto.
• Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools, such as Wireshark and Nagios.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant industry certifications, such as CCNA, CCNP, or JNCIA, are a plus.
