The team

We represent Hitachi Vantara to enterprise clients across industries, establishing business relationships to understand customer challenges so that we can deliver profitable business for Hitachi products, services and solutions. We collaborate as a team and cross-functionally to ensure the success of our customers; success that is celebrated and shared. The role

Reporting to the Technical Manager-Global Network Services, key responsibilities would include

• Respond to incident tickets related to Global Network Operations, ensuring resolution within defined SLAs.
• Monitor alerts proactively using SolarWinds, perform initial diagnostics, and escalate to Level-2 teams as needed.
• Execute planned maintenance activities, including code upgrades for switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Implement infrastructure changes to address vulnerabilities identified in Cisco switches, SD-WAN routers, and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Process firewall access requests in compliance with organizational security policies.
  
  

Minimum 3 years of experience in IT support roles such as Service Desk or Desktop Support, with a strong foundation in troubleshooting and customer service.

Hands-on experience with incident management tools and familiarity with ITIL processes.

Exposure to network troubleshooting (e.g., basic switch/router diagnostics, IP addressing, DNS/DHCP issues).

Demonstrated ability to follow standard operating procedures and escalate issues appropriately.

Eagerness to grow in network operations, with a proactive mindset toward learning and certification.

Industry certifications such as CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or equivalent, or actively pursuing one.

Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
