About SBU

Global Markets SBU represents the Treasury business of Edelweiss. The SBU manages the firm's excess capital, striving to deliver superior risk adjusted returns. Global Markets SBU has been an integral part of the Edelweiss growth story and has been at the forefront of innovation ever since derivatives were launched in India in 2001 and till date thrives on being the market leaders in several of its market segments.

Over the years, the SBU has diversified its business across geographies and asset classes. We have offices in India & Singapore and trade in Equities/Fixed Income & Currencies in Indian & all other markets in the Asia Pac region. We follow a multi -dimensional strategy approach across these asset classes, ranging across the spectrum of risk return to the likes of arbitrage, options trading, systematic trading, high frequency trading and corporate actions. Job Purpose

What you’ll do

Core Responsibilities

• Network infrastructure management, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware.
• Monitoring network performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing security measures.
• Latency Measurement, Monitoring & improvements.
• Responding to network incidents, conducting root cause analysis, and contributing to incident management processes.
• Develop fluency with existing systems, infrastructure, and procedures, and proactively work to improve them.
• Collaborating with other teams and mentoring junior team members.
  
  

Who You Are

Qualifications / Skills

• Bachelor's in Engineering, BSc IT/Computer Science.
  
  

Certifications:

• Cisco CCNP certified.
• Firewall Associate level certifications any (Fortinet/Cisco/Palo Alto)
• Knowledge of multicast networking is a must.
• Experience with network monitoring tools (PRTG, Manage Engine).
• Hands-on experience with packet capturing and analysis tools like Wireshark and tcpdump.
• Experience with enterprise firewall platforms (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA).
• Solid understanding of network security best practice.
• Experience with programming (Python & Bash would be beneficial)
• Hands-on knowledge on Exchange Colo datacenter & Processes.
• Knowledge on VPN creation & management (site 2 site vpn/ Zscaler / Netskope)
• Hands on experience of low latency switches like Arista, Nexus, etc.
• EIGRP (Route summarization, Unicast routing, Authentication, Default route injection), OSPF (point-to-point, BMA, LSA1, LSA2, LSA3, LSA4, LSA5, LSA7, area types, multi-area communication, virtual link, redistribution.
• Redistribution between routing protocols and controlling it using route filtration, BGP (EBGP, IBGP), BGP attributes (local preference, MED) & prefix-list in BGP.
• SNMP, NTP, SCP, etc.
• FHRP (HSRP, VRRP, GLBP), SLA monitor.
• Router as DHCP (Rogue DHCP attack, DHCP Snooping, Relay).
• Vlans, Inter-vlan routing, Access-port, Trunk-port.
• Spanning Tree Protocol (CSTP, PVSTP, MSTP, RSTP), Port fast, Uplink fast, BPDU guard/Filter, Port-security, Root guard.
• Ether channel, VTP, SPAN, RSPAN, ACL, IPSEC, SSL VPN, NAT/PAT
  
  

Experience

• 3+ years of experience as a Network Engineer in a HFT trading environment like any exchange (NSE/BSE/MCX).
