Position Overview

The Network Engineer – Level 2 is responsible for operational support and implementation of enterprise network infrastructure across campus, data center, and cloud-connected environments. This role focuses on hands-on configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of routing, switching, security, and wireless systems to ensure network stability and performance.

What will you get to do here?

• Operate and maintain enterprise Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching and routing environments.
• Configure and support core network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers, and access points.
• Troubleshoot network services such as TCP/IP, ARP, VLANs, STP, LACP, OSPF, BGP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and IPsec.
• Manage day-to-day firewall operations, including policy changes, NAT rules, VPN setup, and network segmentation.
• Assist in the operation and support of Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and Network Access Control (NAC) platforms.
• Support and troubleshoot wireless networking, including 802.11 standards, RF fundamentals, roaming, and authentication.
• Provide support for SD-WAN environments, focusing on link monitoring, path selection, and failover mechanisms.
• Perform operation support tasks for AWS networking components (VPCs, subnets, route tables, IGW/NAT Gateway, security groups, and NACLs).
• Utilize monitoring and telemetry tools (SNMP, NetFlow, syslog) and AIOps platforms for proactive incident detection and resolution.
• Conduct packet-level troubleshooting using logs, counters, and packet captures to resolve complex network issues.
• Execute approved network changes during maintenance windows and rigorously maintain technical documentation and network diagrams.
  
  

• Strong hands-on experience with routing, switching, and firewall operations in an enterprise environment.
• Solid understanding of enterprise network protocols and end-to-end packet flow.
• Experience supporting modern network technologies including wireless, SD-WAN, ZTNA, NAC, and cloud networking (AWS preferred).
• Familiarity with monitoring, telemetry, and AIOps-driven network operations.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills, strong attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a structured, security-focused enterprise environment.
• Certifications such as CCNA, JNCIA, or equivalent are strongly preferred.
