Network Engineer L2 - immediate Joiner

Overview

Responsibilities:

• Provide L2 support for all network-related issues, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and firewall configurations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity problems, hardware failures, and software issues in a timely manner.
• Monitor network performance and security using various tools and proactively identify potential issues.
• Implement, configure, and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless access points.
• Assist in the design and implementation of network upgrades and expansions.
• Manage and maintain VPN connections and ensure secure remote access.
• Configure and manage VLANs, routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP), and switching technologies.
• Administer and maintain firewall rules and security policies.
• Collaborate with other IT teams and vendors to resolve complex network issues.
• Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Ensure adherence to IT security policies and best practices.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support as needed.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest networking technologies and trends.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5-6 years of hands-on experience in network administration and support.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocol suite, OSI model, and network topologies.
• Proven experience in configuring and troubleshooting network devices from leading vendors (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, HP Enterprise).
• Solid understanding of routing protocols (RIP, OSPF, BGP), switching protocols (STP, VLAN), and wireless technologies.
• Experience with firewall management, VPN configuration (IPSec, SSL VPN), and network security concepts.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
• Must be an immediate joiner.

Preferred Skills/Certifications:

• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Network+, Security+.
• Experience with cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of load balancing technologies.
• Scripting skills (e.g., Python, Shell scripting) for network automation.
• Experience with network security tools and practices.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹8,737.70 - ₹45,316.39 per month
