Job Description

Role Overview:

The Network and Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining a robust, secure, and scalable enterprise network and infrastructure across multiple sites. This role will ensure high availability, performance, and security of network services, data centers, and cloud infrastructure while supporting business continuity and growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Network Architecture & Management:
• Design, deploy, and manage enterprise-grade network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VPN, SD-WAN, MPLS, and Wireless) across multiple sites.
• Implement routing, switching, and firewall solutions to ensure secure and efficient connectivity.
• Monitor and optimize network performance, capacity, and scalability.
• Infrastructure Administration:
• Manage on-premises and cloud-based server infrastructure (Windows, Linux, VMware, Hyper-V, OCI, AWS, etc.).
• Ensure proper backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans are in place and tested.
• Maintain and monitor data center infrastructure, storage solutions, and virtualization platforms.
• Security & Compliance:
• Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, and vulnerability management.
• Ensure infrastructure adheres to compliance standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, etc.).
• Manage access control, identity management, and secure remote access.
• Collaboration & Support:
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to support business applications and IT initiatives.
• Provide Level 3 support for escalated network and infrastructure issues.
• Manage vendors, service providers, and hardware/software procurement.
• Documentation & Process Improvement:
• Develop and maintain comprehensive infrastructure and network documentation.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements for scalability and cost-efficiency.
• Establish standard operating procedures for monitoring, patching, and incident response.
  

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 5+ years in enterprise network and infrastructure engineering roles with multi-site environments.
• Technical Skills:
• Expertise in network technologies: Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of routing (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), switching (VLAN, STP), and WAN technologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, OCI) and hybrid infrastructure.
• Proficient in virtualization technologies (VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, Nutanix).
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and tools.
