Network Operations Engineer

Key Skill: Network Administration, VMware (vCenter, ESXi, NSX, HCX) & Python (Scripting/Coding Experience),

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate expertise in VMware, Linux operating systems, and VMware deployments.
• Address complex technical challenges with strong problem-solving skills.
• Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and other teams via excellent written and verbal communication.
• Manage, triage, and prioritize VMware-related tickets, debug issues, suggest patches or fixes, and conduct testing.
• Document remediation processes and contribute to operational documentation.
• Utilize VMware SDKs to write scripts to mitigate production issues and enhance operational efficiency.
• Possess a solid understanding of Compute, Storage, and Networking concepts in a cloud environment.
• Work in VMware Enterprise environments to support deployments, upgrades, and configurations.
• Debug VMware issues, conduct log analysis, and provide solutions to identified challenges.
• Propose enhancements to the VMware deployment process to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Lead a team of engineers by assigning tasks, tracking progress, and ensuring timely completion.
• Provide lifecycle knowledge and support for VMware software like ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, DVS, NSX, HCX, and Aria.
• Possess in-depth knowledge of internal service-level architecture, communication between VMware components, and troubleshooting strategies.
• Conduct regular troubleshooting, log analysis, and initiative-taking maintenance to ensure VMware environments are performing optimally.

Expirence Requirments:

6+ Years of experience in:

• VMware: Experience with vCenter, ESXi, NSX, HCX, and Aria. Knowledge of VMware SDKs and scripting tools such as PowerCLI.
• Python: Hands-on experience with Python scripting for automation, coding, and resolving production issues.
• Linux: Solid understanding of Linux operating systems, including deployments and troubleshooting.
• Cloud Concepts: Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, compute, storage, and networking concepts.
• Problem Solving: Strong critical thinking skills, able to debug and resolve complex VMware issues.
• Team Leadership: Experience in leading and guiding a team of engineers, including task allocation and tracking.
• Tools: Familiarity with Jenkins, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with PowerCLI and vSphere Automation SDKs (vMomi).
• Write and maintain Python scripts for automation, integration, and problem resolution.
• Basic knowledge of Jenkins and Ansible for CI/CD and configuration management.
• Proven experience in VMware deployments, troubleshooting, and operational management.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications: Any Graduation in Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Application.
