Odoo Full-Stack Developer (Back-end & Front-end)

Overview

We are looking for a skilled Odoo Full-Stack Developer with expertise in both back-end and front-end development, specifically for a SaaS-based Odoo solution. The ideal candidate should have strong experience with Python, Q-Web, and Odoo ORM on the back end, as well as JavaScript, OWL (Odoo Web Library), XML, and modern front-end technologies.

A key part of this role is building and maintaining a scalable SaaS infrastructure, so experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud deployment is highly preferred. You should be comfortable working with containerized Odoo environments and optimizing the system for high availability, multi-tenancy, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Back-end Development:

• Develop, customize, and extend Odoo modules using Python and Odoo framework.

• Work with Q-Web templates to create and modify views.

• Implement and optimize Odoo ORM (Object Relational Mapping) for efficient database interactions.

• Design and develop RESTful APIs to integrate Odoo with third-party services.

• Ensure data security, access control, and authentication mechanisms in Odoo.

Front-end Development:

• Customize and enhance Odoo’s UI using JavaScript, OWL (Odoo Web Library), XML, and CSS.

• Develop dynamic, responsive web components and widgets using Odoo’s front-end framework.

• Optimize web performance and UI responsiveness for a smooth user experience.

• Work with Odoo Web Assets (asset bundles, SCSS, and dynamic components).

• Implement AJAX-based interactions and real-time UI updates.

SaaS Development & Containerization:

• Develop and maintain multi-tenant SaaS solutions using Odoo.

• Deploy and manage Odoo instances in containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Optimize system performance, scalability, and resource allocation for multiple clients.

• Automate deployments using CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration.

• Implement database sharding and load balancing strategies for high availability.

• Troubleshoot and debug issues across the full stack (back-end, front-end, and infrastructure).

Cloud & DevOps Integration:

• Deploy and manage Odoo on cloud platforms

• Set up and optimize Nginx, PostgreSQL, and Redis for Odoo performance tuning.

• Work with Git, CI/CD tools, and automated testing frameworks.

• Monitor system performance and security vulnerabilities, applying best DevOps practices.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience as an Odoo Developer (Full-Stack).

• Strong expertise in Python, Q-Web, and Odoo ORM for back-end development.

• Proficiency in JavaScript, OWL (Odoo Web Library), XML, and modern front-end frameworks.

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized Odoo deployments.

• Understanding of SaaS architecture, multi-tenancy, and cloud-based Odoo solutions.

• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, database tuning, and performance optimization.

• Experience integrating RESTful APIs, payment gateways, and third-party services.

• Strong understanding of Linux environments and shell scripting.

• Knowledge of CI/CD tools for automating Odoo deployments.

• Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize Odoo for scalability.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Odoo 17 or later versions.

• Familiarity with microservices architecture for Odoo extensions.

• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.

• Knowledge of DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.
