Role description
Job Title: Oracle CPQ Technical Lead
Lead the end-to-end technical design, development, and implementation of Oracle CPQ solutions, ensuring compliance with architectural standards and industry best practices.
Provide hands-on technical leadership and guidance to a team of CPQ developers through code reviews, mentoring, and knowledge sharing initiatives.
Collaborate closely with business analysts, functional consultants, and key stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, converting them into detailed technical specifications.
Customize and configure Oracle CPQ to support business requirements including product configurations, pricing logic, and approval workflows.
Build and maintain seamless integrations between Oracle CPQ and enterprise systems such as Salesforce (CRM), Oracle EBS (ERP), and other essential applications.
Design and deliver robust CPQ solutions leveraging BML (BigMachines Extensible Language), JavaScript, and related technologies.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex Oracle CPQ technical issues promptly and efficiently.
Participate actively in all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements definition, system design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
Conduct comprehensive unit, integration, and performance testing to ensure the quality and reliability of CPQ solutions.
Stay informed on the latest Oracle CPQ product updates, features, and best practices to continuously improve solution delivery.
Contribute to the creation and evolution of internal standards, coding guidelines, and best practices for CPQ development.
Proactively identify and manage technical risks and issues, escalating them when necessary.
Support project estimation, planning, and execution as a technical lead, ensuring delivery within scope and timelines.
What Experience You Need
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Oracle CPQ implementations, including a strong understanding of CPQ concepts, system architecture, and functionality.
At least 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role, overseeing development teams.
In-depth expertise in Oracle CPQ configuration—including product modeling, pricing structures, rule setup, and document generation.
Proficiency in programming with BML and JavaScript.
Proven experience integrating Oracle CPQ with Salesforce and other Oracle Fusion applications.
Solid grasp of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, XML, and XSLT.
Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle or SQL Server.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
Comprehensive understanding of SDLC methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
