JOB DESCRIPTION

• Oracle DB internals: Understanding Oracle-specific features like PL/SQL, packages, triggers, sequences, and data types.
• PostgreSQL internals: Knowledge of PostgreSQL architecture, SQL syntax, and capabilities.
• Translate Oracle SQL and PL/SQL code to PostgreSQL SQL and PL/pgSQL.
• Handle differences in syntax, functions, and stored procedure logic.
• Understanding how to convert Data types Constraints, indexes, sequences, Users, roles, and privileges
• Performance Tuning
• Backup & Recovery
• Ensure rollback plans are in place in case of issues.
• Basic Linux/Unix system administration
• Database deployment and configuration
• Ora2Pg (most commonly used open-source tool) and pgloader
• Write ETL scripts in Python, Shell, or SQL for data transformation and movement.
• Automate migration workflows using scripting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹1,300,000.00 per year
