Introduction to Team

Travel Partnerships and Media

Travel Partnerships and Media helps partners, including hotels, airlines, destination marketing organizations (DMOs) and more, deliver excellent traveler and B2B experiences. We drive growth for our partners and the Expedia Group marketplace through competitive supply, our leading advertising and travel media network and affiliate solutions.

The Partner Journeys Data Analyst role sits on the Partner Measurements & Insights team in the Travel Partnerships and Media (TPM) division of Expedia Group (EG). This team is accountable for the overall experience of TPM supply partners. We take a holistic, macro-level approach to define and drive experience improvements across EG, and we are responsible for measuring the partner’s overall experience, accounting for all touchpoints, to deliver insights that drive actionable improvements. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements, develop data products, and deliver actionable reporting. Your ability to communicate complex data findings clearly and effectively will be crucial in solving tough data challenges and power our understanding of TPM supply partner journeys.

In this role, you will

  • Write advanced SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze structured, semi-structured and unstructured data, combining partner feedback and conversational data with business data to support operational and strategic reporting and insights.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across EG to understand reporting needs to develop, maintain, and enhance Partner Journey reporting and visualizations, supporting data-driven decision-making and empowering stakeholders with self-service analytics.
  • Contribute to the design and evolution of data models for effective partner journey analysis, proactively identifying process bottlenecks and implementing improvements to address data-related challenges.
  • Perform data profiling to identify anomalies and inconsistencies and implement data quality procedures and controls to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Apply statistical analysis and modeling techniques (e.g., regression, A/B testing) using programming languages (e.g., Python, R) to generate actionable insights.
  • Use Confluence for creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation of data models, analytical processes, reporting, and tools (e.g., data dictionaries, business glossaries).

Who You Are

  • You have 3+ years’ data analytics experience across the end-to-end data analytics process.
  • You have expertise in using SQL for data investigation, transformation, and analysis of large, diverse datasets (e.g., experiential, operational, and commercial); experience within a customer/partner experience context is a plus.
  • You have expertise in designing, delivering, and maintaining data visualization products (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Python).
  • You have experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, R) for conducting statistical analysis, text/sentiment analysis, and building machine learning models.
  • You have demonstrated knowledge of data validation and data quality principles and practices, with an understanding of how business processes can impact data structures.
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity, possessing strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills that allow you to build impactful data analytics solutions to complex data challenges.
