Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and passionate PHP / Fullstack Developer with at least 2 years of experience in building robust web applications. As part of the dynamic tech team at Kidvento, you’ll be instrumental in creating scalable platforms tailored for the education ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain web applications using PHP frameworks (preferably Laravel or CodeIgniter) and modern front-end technologies.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend developers to build seamless user experiences.
Build and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services.
Write clean, secure, scalable, and maintainable code.
Optimise applications for maximum speed, responsiveness, and scalability.
Manage database operations (MySQL) efficiently.
Participate in the complete development cycle: requirement analysis, planning, development, testing, deployment, and support.
Debug and resolve technical issues and improve application performance.
Stay current with new web technologies and best practices.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2+ years of hands-on experience in PHP development.
Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frontend frameworks (preferably React).
Strong knowledge of server-side scripting with PHP and database management with MySQL.
Experience with MVC frameworks like Laravel or CodeIgniter.
Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
Understanding of REST APIs, authentication, and web security best practices.
Good understanding of UI/UX design principles and responsive design.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure or GCP).
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps basics.
Prior experience in EdTech or building scalable platforms for education.
