Overview

Job Title: Senior Playwright Automation Lead (TypeScript) – Trainer Role

Experience: 10 - 15 Years
Location: Mumbai (Andheri)
Shift: 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced Automation Lead with deep expertise in Playwright (TypeScript) who can drive automation strategy, build scalable frameworks, and lead training initiatives across teams. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience along with the ability to mentor and upskill QA engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and develop enterprise-level automation frameworks using Playwright (TypeScript)
• Drive automation strategy and best practices across projects
• Lead end-to-end automation for web applications and APIs
• Handle complex scenarios like dynamic UI, network interception, parallel execution
• Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins / GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps)
• Ensure test stability, scalability, and performance optimization
• Conduct training sessions, workshops, and internal bootcamps on Playwright
• Mentor and guide QA teams, review code, and enforce standards
• Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and product teams
• Define automation KPIs and improve overall test coverage

Required Skills (Must Have)

• 10–15 years of experience in QA Automation
• Strong hands-on expertise in Playwright with TypeScript
• Proven experience in building frameworks from scratch
• Deep understanding of:
• Auto-waiting mechanism
• Dynamic UI handling
• Parallel execution
• Fixtures & hooks
• Debugging (Trace Viewer)
• Strong experience in API testing (REST / Postman / REST Assured)
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, pipelines)
• Experience with Git version control
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills

Trainer / Leadership Requirements

• Proven experience in training or mentoring QA teams
• Conducting workshops, knowledge sessions, or onboarding programs
• Ability to simplify complex technical concepts
• Experience in code reviews and team guidance
• Strong communication and presentation skills

Good to Have

• Experience with Cypress / Selenium
• Exposure to SQL / Database testing
• Knowledge of Agile / Scrum methodologies
• Exposure to AI tools in automation

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,500,000.00 per year
