PostgreSQL Database Engineer

About the role:

We are seeking a highly experienced 6+ years into PostgreSQL Database Engineer with deep expertise in managing PostgreSQL at scale. This role is critical for ensuring high performance, reliability, and seamless migration across database environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in performance tuning and managing non-functional requirements (NFRs) such as availability, scalability, and security.

Responsibilities:

• Expert-level PostgreSQL experience in large-scale, production-grade environments.
• Proven track record in performance tuning and optimizing database operations under demanding workloads.
• Strong understanding of NFRs and how to design and maintain databases to meet them.
• Hands-on experience running PostgreSQL in containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  

Professional Skills:

• Experience with database migration from Oracle to PostgreSQL.

Nice To Have:

• Experience with PostgreSQL-to-PostgreSQL migrations (e.g., across regions, versions, or architectures).
