Principal Consultant - AWS Data Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end design and delivery of data engineering solutions on AWS
• Architect and implement scalable data pipelines using AWS Glue, PySpark, Iceberg, and other AWS native services
• Act as the technical point of contact for internal teams and client stakeholders
• Translate business requirements into technical architecture and actionable solutions
• Guide and mentor junior engineers in best practices and cloud solutioning
• Own and drive the technical roadmap, ensuring alignment with client expectations
• Ensure high standards of code quality, performance, and reliability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, business analysts, and platform engineers
• Provide proactive technical guidance and thought leadership across projects

Skills Required:

• Strong hands-on expertise in AWS Cloud services including:
• AWS Glue, PySpark, Iceberg, Athena, Lambda, S3, Step Functions, EMR, CloudFormation/Terraform
• Proven experience in data pipeline development, data lake architecture, and data engineering
• Sound understanding of data governance, security, and compliance in cloud environments
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder management and solution presentations
• Ability to lead high-performing teams and drive delivery with minimal supervision

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in related field
