We are seeking a skilled and proactive UNIX System Administrator to maintain, support, and optimize our UNIX-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in system performance tuning, scripting, and maintaining high availability environments. This role involves working closely with development and operations teams to ensure system reliability and efficiency
Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled and proactive UNIX System Administrator to maintain, support, and optimize our UNIX-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in system performance tuning, scripting, and maintaining high availability environments. This role involves working closely with development and operations teams to ensure system reliability and efficiency
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain UNIX (AIX, Solaris, HP-UX, or Linux) systems and servers.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
- Automate routine tasks using shell scripts, Python, Perl, or other tools.
- Apply patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
- Manage user accounts, file systems, system security, and permissions.
- Provide on-call support as needed and respond to critical system outages.
- Maintain documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures.
- Collaborate with developers, network engineers, and other IT team members to support and improve infrastructure.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
- B.Tech/B.E/ MCA
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
- Strong knowledge of one or more UNIX operating systems (Red Hat, Solaris, AIX, HP-UX, etc.).
- Proficiency in shell scripting and automation tools.
- Experience with system monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, etc.).
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals and security practices.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, or Chef) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
