Principal DevOps Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead and architect complex infrastructure solutions using Terraform and other Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools at scale.
• Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines across large engineering teams.
• Develop reusable automation tools and frameworks using Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting.
• Manage and operate multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) ensuring cost efficiency, resilience, and security.
• Oversee Kubernetes container orchestration, with a focus on production environments (EKS preferred).
• Guide and mentor senior engineers, providing technical leadership and strategic direction.
• Drive infrastructure observability and monitoring strategies using tools like Grafana for proactive reliability improvements.

Skills Required:

• 10+ years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering, with at least 3+ years in a technical leadership or Principal-level role.
• Proven track record architecting complex infrastructure using Terraform and other IaC tools at scale.
• Expert knowledge of CI/CD architecture, including design, implementation, and optimization across large teams.
• Strong programming/scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell with an emphasis on building reusable tools and automation frameworks.
• Deep expertise in multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), including cost modeling, resilient design patterns, and security architectures.
• In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes (EKS preferred) and container orchestration in production.
• Demonstrated experience guiding teams in infrastructure observability, monitoring strategy, and proactive reliability improvements.
• Ability to influence at all levels--engineering teams, leadership, and stakeholders--with exceptional communication and strategic thinking.
• Experience mentoring senior engineers and leading technical direction in cross-functional teams.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field
