Business Title: Principal Eng, Data & Analytics R&D - Product Owner & Scrum Master

The Product Owner & Scrum Master is responsible for the project management, proposal, analysis and detail design activities on cornerstone / enterprise or large projects as part of Digital Health Analytics. He / She will identify, evaluate, develop and /or redesign systems and procedures that meet user requirements. He / She is responsible for cross functional / business integration testing and aid business customers with business process redesign on large projects. Analyze and make decisions that have cross products business impact. He / She must see the potential for data and compelling visualizations to drive the organization to greater performance. Meet each stakeholder "where they are" in a range of data literacy, understanding both the user's literal request and also inferring the core goal behind that request.

Critical Responsibilities

• Identify, analyze, propose, generate, and document innovative solutions to a wide range of complex/difficult data problems. Make decisions that have a cross-functional/cross-regional business impact and analyze financial impact.
• Own large size projects, demonstrate extensive business knowledge, require minimal direction, give moderate direction to others, handle key complex problems, possess extensive knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Gather, understand, and document business objectives, specifications, and requirements on enterprise/cornerstone and/or large size projects. Accountable for understanding interdependencies of systems for multiple businesses or functions.
• Develop high level system functional architecture and plans. Facilitate implementation activities within the team and across IT groups. Responsible for cross functional/cross regional business integration as necessary.
• Define, design and document business flows and processes for large highly complex projects. Define and articulate business rules required for data accuracy and consistency. Identify and resolve data quality issues. Act as the primary contact for the data management team/process.
• Communicate status, solutions, and concerns. Disseminate information in a timely manner within the team and across functions. Establish, maintain, and develop relationships within the business or function. Deliver presentations, facilitate, and address issues at all levels of management.
• Provide strong cross-functional and business knowledge to develop business system and process alternatives.
• Train others as appropriate on specific area of business or systems expertise. Assist in development of training materials and/or conduct training.
• Be the primary POC for Business Function for Data Maintain close connect with Business stakeholders for understanding of requirement and recommend appropriate methods to turn data into insights.
  
  

Liaison between architecture, Data Engineering and Business Function teams and take up the technical accountability for the implementation.

• Turn data into insights and metrics into actions by Working with stakeholders to understand requirements, the nuances of necessary datasets and ensure that resulting metrics are relevant and will directly inform business decision-making to drive performance.
  
  

Develop and deliver a comprehensive System Architecture with functional understanding and core data structure in mind.

Build a comprehensive roadmap and data pipeline for the business unit and ensure the functional requirements and data structures are accurately translated into technical design by the Data Engineering team.

Redesign report prototypes to improve overall design and visualizations

Potentially write SQL scripts in databases or snowflake to extract data into the BI platforms as well as deep knowledge of AWS, Python and BI Tools.

Acting as the first line of support for Data related questions and issues

• He / She is responsible for cross functional / business integration / end to end testing and sign-off the product before releasing to UAT.

Responsible for the execution of a project release (new product and sustenance) in alignment with the program team; ensuring on-time and predictable release with good quality.

Demonstrates excellent project management skills – estimation, planning, scheduling, stakeholder management, risk/dependency management.

Demonstrates customer focus by ensuring quality of software releases and timely resolution of field reported issues.

Adapts/performs the project management in the context of an agile team:

• Facilitate agile ceremonies such as - daily standups, sprint planning, sprint reviews.
• Conducts sprint retrospectives, drive action plans and administrates scrum boards.
• Create and maintain project timelines and project resource plans.
• Removes impediments and accomplishes/exceeds the sprint goal/velocity.
• Work independently and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project meets organizational standards and customer needs.
• Collaborate with the team of engineers to build increment plan & track delivery.
• Drive readiness for team to face audits both internal or external.
• Demonstrate superior knowledge of software development life cycles to collaborate with Build and Release teams.
• Collaborate with team members and provide guidance to diagnose bugs and formulate solutions during development & testing cycles.
• Contribute to testing if needed (based on bandwidth availability).
• Drive for continuous improvements (Process, Product, Quality, Metrics etc.)
• Provides guidance to development and test teams with respect to overall development process/framework.
• Leads and coaches the team members.
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or relevant subject area
• Minimum 8+ years’ experience working with Business users, driving, and defining functional and analytical data requirements for end-to-end solutioning as well as driving an implementation team through Agile methods.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience as technical project manager / scrum master.
• Significant experience with Data & Analytics programs with experience in native digital technologies (cloud, big data and predictive)
• Demonstrated success analyzing data to solve business problems and identify opportunities for improving performance
• Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously
• Thorough understanding of system design, analysis, and development required. Strong knowledge of business process flow and/or entity relationship modeling.
• Must be effective in a team and demonstrate leadership aptitude with strong problem solving, critical thinking skills, influencing, communication, and presentation skills. Self-starter with history of balancing multiple priorities simultaneously with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines
• Ability to work effectively with other technology teams as well as business partners. Ability to effectively present information, interact with, and respond to questions from managers, employees, customers, and vendors
• Detail-oriented team player who can consistently provide valuable suggestions and solutions in areas of analytical solutions with conceptual thinking to ensure all parts of an application function together as intended.
• Strong visualization & reporting skills using latest project management & reporting tools.
• Strong presentation skills and having had the exposure of reporting out project status to senior management.
• Excellent interpersonal/communication/influencing/negotiation skills required.
• Demonstrated facilitation and negotiation skills in driving closure on product/program-related decisions/issues.
• Capable of analyzing and solving complex problems through innovative thought and experience.
