Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- EDS Governance team is looking for a software engineer to enhance the scan logic of Client’s EDS Data
- Classification tool to meet industry prevalent analytics and sample data enabled classification process.
- Experience developing regex for data classification, technical analysis and SQL scripting are needed to implement the new data sampling feature to the existing classification process
- Analyze existing informatica and SQL code developed for metadata classification scans and transform those to be compatible in Oracle platform to support metadata scans.
- Develop ETL scripts to support data source scans with EDS tool and store classification results in Oracle database.
- Develop a program to support sample data scans of data sources to perform security and PI classifications.
- Analyze, update and migrate regex (regular expressions) to match data patterns in columns and perform security and PI classifications.
- Strong ability to write SQL queries to build logic from various datasets.
- Take ownership of technical issues from root cause analysis to liaison with Client’s application and IT teams to full resolution, validation of fix and implementation in production
- Should be recognized as an advanced individual contributor.
- Works without supervision with latitude for independent judgment.
- Provides test-driven development practices and has solid troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working in an Agile team is a big advantage.
- Work closely with Product Managers to deliver excellent user experience.
