Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated SQL developer to join the analytics and information management (AIM) team of Pratt and Whitney. You will be working collaboratively to deliver strategics data driven initiatives in respect of best-in-class data management principles. You will play an active role in designing and building big data pipelines and enabling the technologies to create the efficient data flows required by various application databases and analytics datamarts in a wide variety of areas across the business.

This role requires a deep understanding of SQL, databased design, data modeling and ETL development with SQL server integration service.

 

What You will do:

• Design application databases with efficient and normalized databases schemas
• Design, write and deploy data pipeline developed in SQL server integration services (SSIS)
• Creating, maintaining and optimizing database objects like indexes, triggers, views, stored procedures etc
• Strong SQL expertise must be able to write complex and dynamic query
• Design, write and deploy data pipeline developed in SQL server integration services (SSIS)
• Development of data transformation to support business intelligence (BI) reporting
• Collaboration with database administrator (DBA) to optimize queries and database performance
• Participate in technical planning session with solution architect, Product owner and application developers
• Leading practice disciplined software engineering (e.g. automated testing, code reviews, and writing beautiful and pragmatic code)
• Documenting database design and dataflow to ensure proper knowledge transfer, collaboration and improved supportability of the system.
  
  

 

Qualifications You must have:

• Bachelor’s degree & 9+ years of experience or a Masters in Computer Science, Computer Engineering & 7+ years of experience working in SQL development
• Excellent knowledge of MS SQL Server and SSIS.
• Significant experience working in a collaborative project using version control system like GIT
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and the usage of a project management platform like Jira or TFS
