Role & responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Systems Engineers working on complex GNSS-based avionics systems.
- Verify DAL A avionics products in the CNS domain.
- Collaborate with architects and senior developers to build scalable system solutions.
- Design and execute system validation tests.
- Develop and maintain tools supporting system development and verification.
- Support talent development, performance management, and strategic organizational initiatives.
Candidate requirements:
- Master’s degree or strong hands-on experience in GNSS/GNSS Systems Engineering, with expertise in designing, developing, and verifying GNSS systems and subsystems.
- In-depth knowledge of GNSS constellations (GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, BeiDou, NAVIC, QZSS) and augmentation systems (SBAS, GBAS, GAGAN, RAIM).
- Strong understanding of aerospace navigation concepts, including state estimation, positioning algorithms, satellite signal processing, and sensor fusion methods.
- Proficiency in system requirement elicitation, decomposition, validation, and end-to-end verification of GNSS system designs.
- Experience developing and executing test strategies for GNSS and integrated navigation systems, with hands-on use of GNSS simulators, receivers, and RF test equipment.
- Knowledge of RF interference detection and mitigation (jamming/spoofing), communication protocols (ARINC 429, AFDX, A653), and safety standards (DO-178C, ARP-4754A, DO-229, DO-260).
- Practical experience with embedded C++ development, RTOS environments (VxWorks/Wind River), and understanding of surveillance systems such as TCAS, Transponders, and ADS-B.
