About The Team

The Traveler Business Team drives growth for our global consumer brands—Expedia, Hotels.com, and Vrbo—by setting strategic vision, operating plans, and leading cross-functional initiatives. Our Corporate Functions support Expedia Group through Finance, Legal, Risk, and more. As part of the Product Analytics team, you’ll work on high-impact areas such as Search, Property Experience, Offers, and Fraud & Risk.

What You’ll Do

• Design and execute complex experiments using statistical methods (e.g., A/B testing, casual inference, regression, multivariate analysis).
• Apply supervised and unsupervised learning techniques to uncover insights and detect patterns.
• Frame business problems as analytical tasks and deliver actionable insights.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Risk, and Operations teams.
• Build scalable analytics pipelines and automate repeatable tasks.
• Create clear, engaging presentations and dashboards for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to a culture of learning and collaboration.
• Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to accelerate insight generation.
  
  

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field with 4+ years of work experience in data science or analytics roles, preferably in travel, e-commerce or fraud/risk domains.
• Proficient in SQL, Python, and/or R; familiarity with machine learning libraries and visualization tools (e.g., Plotly, Seaborn, ggplot).
• Strong business acumen and domain knowledge.
• Skilled in storytelling, stakeholder management, and driving data-informed decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects and influence outcomes across teams.
