Project Manager - Technical (Scrum Master)

Overview

Red Hat's Core Platforms Engineering team is looking for experienced Scrum Masters to help transform the Core Platforms Engineering organization in Pune, India. You will be responsible for educating and running ceremonies for multiple Scrum teams for some of the brightest engineers in the open source community. As part of our team, you’ll focus on the Red Hat Lightspeed - Advisor project. In your role, you will collaborate closely with members of product engineering as well as a vibrant team of Agile Practitioners with a mission to help Core Platforms in its Agile Transformation.

What will you do?

• Form and facilitate multiple Scrum Teams, seeing them through the four stages of team development
• Create an environment of co-delivery and shared responsibility across the Dev, QE, Docs, UX, and PM organizations
• Work with other Agile Practitioners in their overall mission to help Core Platforms in its Agile Transformation
• Provide as needed training and publish documentation that supports these efforts
• Identify and help the team understand skills such as relative estimations and continuous improvement
• Focus on respectful adoption of agility through the identification and resolution of existing challenges
• Help the team become self-sufficient in the use of Scrum
• Improve channels of communication
  
  

• Agile project management skills evidenced by industry experience or recent certification, with a strong background in Scrum (e.g., PMI-ACP, new PMI-PMP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or equivalent)
• 5 + years of experience working with software engineering teams, SaaS teams, or hosted service engineering teams
• Outstanding interpersonal skills, including excellent oral and written communication, mentoring, coaching, collaboration, negotiation, and team-building abilities
• Sufficient technical background to provide credible leadership with development teams and accurately evaluate complex project risks and issues
• Demonstrated track record of delivering software products to production and coaching teams or programs at varying maturity levels
• Creative problem-solving approach with the ability to focus on details while maintaining a strategic perspective
• Data-driven analysis skills for measuring the health of strategy-to-delivery initiatives
• Experience with Jira for agile project tracking and reporting
  
  

• Knowledge of Red Hat products and application container technology.
• Understanding and appreciation of open-source software development.
• Experience working with hosted service engineering teams.
• Experience leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency, productivity, or decision-making.
